The developers of the Wipeout series of racing games have sufficient opinions concerning the challenges that this next generation of consoles are able to offer to PS3 Move Accessories developers.
Speaking to Eurogamer, the developers at Studio Liverpool predict that single-player titles will be with a major decline in less than a decade, while focusing will shift to offering multiplayer and socially interactive experiences.
"Affecting your mate's single-player career could possibly be something really fun to complete, and something we're going to have a look at to accomplish," said Graeme Ackers. "You won't want to turn on your console and fall out of your respective social sphere, and I think that is going to become on the list of big things."
"I'm sure in five, a decade from now it will likely be really challenging for anyone to do an effective game that isolates the player."
The studio also believes that games into the future have to offer more cross-platform features to be able to provide better social functions. They cited the crossplay compatibility involving the ps3 controllers and also the PS Vita for early illustration showing how this can work.
"I'd like to be playing within the ps3 accessories but my daughter could have the Vita and turn into doing stuff, and interacting within the same game world. You'll find definite possibilities in there, and I think developers will begin taking more good thing about it with time."
