Codemasters exec. compares PS3 and Xbox 360 console to dinosaurs, says consoles could become extinct


While ps3 controller sticks and Xbox 360 console always see longevity and commercial success of their sixth and seventh years on store shelves, respectively,  many of the most influential industry executives have spoken out around the way ahead for tangible consoles and what they have to see being a dying breed inside the medium. Codemasters co-founder David Darling, whose company has produced such free to play titles as Operation Flashpoint and Lord with the Rings Online, stated firmly in the recent writing that in case the PS4 and Xbox 720 don't transition with an entirely digital business strategy, they'll both fail.

He procedes to compare current-gen consoles like the ps3 Navigation controller and Xbox to dinosaurs which might be struggle to adjust to a new and evolving environment:

He also procedes to say that a digital market allows a casino game becoming a "service" in addition to a "product."

"Another major difference is digital download games certainly are a service as opposed to a product," he explained.
