When you use your Ps3 DualShock or Sixaxis controller, among the four lights in the top of the controller fires up. When the ps3 battery is not really in use, the lights on top of the controller disconnect. If these lights don't turn off, the controller is just not shutting down properly. There are numerous of troubleshooting steps you can take should this happen, as both versions will seek to handle the situation.
Initial Troubleshooting
Press and support the "PS" button involved with the controller for a second or two till the PS menu appears. Highlight the "Shut off the Controller" option and press the "X" button. Detail does not shut off the controller, press and retain the "PS" button, highlight the "Cut the device" option, and press the "X" button. Reset
Flip the controller over and locate the screw hole at the base of the USB charging port. Simply to the proper with this screw hole is a small hole which has the reset button. Insert a paper clip in the hole and press the reset button. This will reset the ps3 charger and unsync it through your system.
Resync
Press the "Power" button within the front with the PS3 system to show the device on. Plug one end of the USB charge cable that sported the machine into among the system's USB ports. Plug the alternative end from the charge cable into your USB charge port within the PS3 controller. The controller will now first turn on and sync while using the system.
Discharge Battery
If resetting the controller didn't work, you may want to execute a different type of reset. Leave the controller on until its battery discharges completely. When its battery seemingly dead, switch on the PS3 system and connect the ps3 controller charger somewhere via the USB charging cable. The controller can first turn on and sync while using system.
